Moral – Influence spreads wider than you know – try to be good
Dog- Don’t let the dog step on the crystals – Causes pain and the stops them dead in their tracks in the middle of the road

For those from “no snow” climates – in preparation for snow and slippery conditions on the roads the towns spread salt xstals to reduce the chances of accidents

CRYSTAL LAKE IN WINTER
It is now 5°F = -15 °C and about to brave the salt and ice for the dog walk. Benjy can’t deal with the salt but walks barefoot on the ice How in heavens name does he do that?
